Sambhali U.S. is taking action to help our friends in India and we welcome your financial support.
With the country in lockdown, many local villagers have no way to earn money. They are hungry and in need of basic necessities. They approached Sambhali Trust Founder, Govind Rathore, and he committed to providing essential care for 200 families. Govind describes who they found when staff and volunteers began walking down the dusty desert roads:
"Each family has 5 or 6 family members and sometimes even more. Those who are ill, homeless, people who are widows, no children and mentally ill are most vulnerable. We are trying to reach them through the team which goes to the field to distribute soap, tell people of the COVID-19, distribute food and other necessities, and at the same time find out more about the individual families."
Right now, it's over 100 degrees during the day, sometimes there is no electricity, but the spirit and tenacity of Sambhali stands strong during this crisis. ANY gift of ANY about will make a major difference. Please help us provide sustenance -- and hope. Thank you!
